Jimbocho! (aka I am totally not studying for the JLPT)
I went to get my tickets to the Fighters games at the Tokyo Dome this coming week since it saves me time if I already have my tickets when I get there, running after school. I decided to also hit up Jimbocho since I haven't been there during normal daytime hours in forever. Turns out the baseball magazine store I wanted to go to, they just keep 10-6 hours, so they're never open by the time I get there after school. AND they had the Hosei victory issue of Shube's 大学野球 that I wanted from last year and have been searching for for a few months, so hooray! I went into another store to check their used books and ended up coming out with the Senbatsu and Summer Koshien magazines from 2005. They were 300 yen each and have been worth much more than that in amusement value. Crazy how I can look through these things and find tons of players that I've seen either in college or indie leagues or industrial leagues or whatever. And there was an entire two-page story on Ryota Imanari since he was Uragaku's team captain back in 2005.
But yeah, not so much on the studying.
I had late big lunch at Coco Ichibanya there -- tried their seasonal "cabbage menchi katsu curry", which was so much better than I thought it would be. Also had a caesar salad since that was part of their seasonal deal. Sometimes these things work out better than others.
I'd ridden my bike to Motohasunuma to take the Mita line in and out, so came home, and then an hour or two later I went to Nishi-Waseda to play volleyball at the Shinjuku Cosmic Sports Center. We had 14 people today by the end, but at first it was 12 people and only 2 women (the latecomers were women). I played okay for being out of practice, coulda been better, but overall it wasn't a bad day, I had an okay time playing. Wore my Niigata Albirex t-shirt with the 一瞬懸命 slogan on the back and someone was like "You upgraded from 一級入魂, I see."
Anyway, I'm kinda achy, and kinda paranoid that the JLPT is in 12 hours. I reviewed some grammar stuff on the train, but in all honesty, it's the reading that is going to kill me. There is nothing I can do about it right now, so. Gonna sleep in a little bit, try to get at least 8 hours, then off to the test in the late morning...
