Life outside school and baseball is boring
I guess I last wrote a public entry on Saturday -- the day I went to Jingu for college ball and then didn't do much after besides laundry.
Sunday, well, it rained... so I ended up spending the afternoon talking to Mike a little on Skype, and then I met up with Andy and Jamie in Shibuya around 3:30pm. They wanted to see a baseball game, and the Fighters game at Jingu rained out as did the college games, so the only indoor game in town was the Buffaloes vs. Giants at the Tokyo Dome. I hate the Giants and don't much care about the Buffaloes, but we went to the game anyway. The Buffaloes won, which was pretty awesome. We hung out a bit at the Baseball Cafe afterwards and then went home; they were heading back to the US on Monday.
Monday it ALSO rained, so yet again I couldn't see the Fighters play baseball. Grrr! Instead I did karaoke and kaitensushi and came home and played Puzzle Pirates, and watched a little of the Lotte game on TV. I also played PP on Saturday night and Tuesday night... basically I figure I spent a looooooong time not playing PP besides logging in just for a few minutes at a time, so now that I feel kinda free, it's ok to spend some time playing, since I still do enjoy the entire CI thing. What sucked about Monday was that by 6:30 or so the rain had entirely stopped, so I was angry they cancelled the game.
Tuesday, I went to Jimbocho after work because I was feeling sad over Hosei losing their game (after the rainouts on Sun/Mon, they played on Tuesday) during the afternoon. Todai almost won their game too -- quite sad, that. Anyway, I couldn't find the magazine I'm looking for (an issue of 大学野球 from a specific semester) but I found another one that has proven to be interesting for other reasons. Jimbocho was fun to wander, but most of the relevant stores close by 6-7pm. I wonder if there is somewhere else I should be going to hunt for baseball magazines?
Today is Wednesday. I think I am going to go see that Shodo Girls movie after school before it disappears from the theaters, and while I can see it for cheap.
