Friday Random Friday
Today I walked to the post office to get a package that had been sent here that didn't get to me. It turned out to be a package from Eli's mom that had more birthday presents in it. Now, if you've been paying attention, you'll notice that I got birthday presents from both sets of Eli's grandparents and now also from his parents. But, all I got from my family was a card from my mom, a phone call from my dad, and an email from my brother. Hmm...
(The present, if anyone cares, was two cards, and a children's book about Japan "from A to Zen" and a sci-fi book called Resource Wars, translated into Japanese, which is apparently written by a family friend or something. So, I don't think I'll be able to read it any time soon, but it's still fun to have.)
Also, Drew bought me a birthday present too! Yay Drew! He got me a copy of Guillotine, a silly card game I had played at Ralph's once before, which basically involves all of these nobles that you line up and try to kill the ones worth the most points without accidentally killing martyrs and innocents and such. Drew even took off time from doing his take-home final to play! Martin and I kept a grudge match up for most of the games so Avi won both of them.
After that I went and played volleyball, which was good even if I am all achy now. And after that I played Iron Dragon at Kevin's new apartment for like 3 hours. Only me and Kevin and Carl played, so it didn't take too long. I would like to play some more because I had a really awful start in this one and I felt kinda annoyed about it. I'll have to bug the Jensen-types to play sometime.
I got to drive home. I'm getting pretty comfortable with normal driving, which is good.
Martin and I want to go to Cedar Point. Will anyone drive us there?

Have you just gotten a car? You seem to be talking about driving a lot. If so, I'm in the same boat -- my sister and I got a car about a month ago, so I'm still a bit shaky doing things like parking and backing out of my driveway. I'm fine with normal driving now, though, which is good.

Actually, I think it's a non-fiction analysis and projection of likely wars over scarce resources.

The only problem is finding a good, convenient chunk of time.
