Bleh

I have a sore throat. I've been coming down with a cold the last few days and it's kind of moving from "a little sniffly" into "goddamnit" territory. Hopefully it will be gone by the time I take my US trip over Golden Week.

On Monday, I think I really need to get to the post office and the bank so I can pay rent but also so that I can send in the JLPT application. I'm still waffling on N2 or N3, but... last night the students at my JLPT class were kinda like "What the hell would you be thinking taking the N3? What are we all studying together for? Come on!"

Actually, last night's class was really fun. We had a substitute teacher named Mawarikado, and I was like "I have never ever ever seen that name before" and she said "Actually, it is a REALLY rare name! I used to always get picked on about it when I was a kid." She was a lot better than the normal teacher at getting us involved -- she kept making us come up with examples for the grammar rather than doing it herself.

I tried the 天下 kaitensushi place that is on the big shopping street on the way to the Japanese school and it is great just like all of their other places. Wish we had one in Akabane, dammit.

Bleh, going to Sendai tomorrow. I'm feeling a little apathetic about it but I think this is really the only time I can go up there to see the Fighters this year, so might as well go with my friends. Haven't decided whether to bring my laptop or not. Tending towards not -- thinking maybe I should bring my Japanese homework instead and try to focus on that :)

I feel like I have a lot to do before I go to Seattle on Wednesday. Or more like, I have a lot to do and I am being silly and sacrificing my weekend in the name of baseball, instead of packing and shopping. Oh well...
