wheeeeeeeeeee

In something like 14 hours I will leave to go to Narita to get Mike. Wow :)

As for today, I went back to Chiba. It wasn't nearly as cold today since the game was at 2pm. On the other hand, thanks to Hisashi Takeda giving up two runs in the 9th, and tying the game, the game went into extra innings and by the end it was past 6pm and dark and WINDY AND COLD arrrrrrgh. The game ended in a tie, and while my friends were going to go off and get dinner, I accidentally lost them coming out of the stadium, and then instead ran into my friend Steve in line for the bus back to Kaihin-Makuhari station. So when Shinozawa K called me like "we lost you, do you want to come to dinner?" I said "I'm going home, I'm too cold and tired, enjoy your dinner" and then basically went and got dinner with Steve and his coworker who he called Lou but who is actually a Japanese guy who lived in the US for a few years as a preteen and pretty much speaks fluent English. The three of us went to a Doma-Doma izakaya (after finding out Outback had a 30-minute wait), and proceeded to order a ton of small dishes of food and devour them. No alcohol, oddly, just colas and stuff. I think there was some kind of eikaiwa party going on at a nearby table; there were like 3 or 4 white dudes in suits and like 20 Japanese people who reminded me kinda of my old students, and Steve mentioned there was a GEOS in the building so he thought it might be them. Kind of odd.

Good times, but I didn't get home until like almost midnight in the end.

Now I need to get to sleep so I can go to the airport in the afternoon OMG.
